In the spring of 1994 with only 24 hours notice, Krueger Excavating performed emergency
flood control measures on the Big Sioux River in Sioux Falls. In a span of
14 days 27,000
linear feet of levee was raised and Rip-Rap was placed in a number of strategic
locations along the river.
One load of dirt was
placed every 40 seconds, sun up
to sun down.
